The Exodus Mission Team

is a uniquely qualified group of servant-leaders committed to walking alongside Veterans and Military Families on a path toward restoration, purpose, and renewed strength. Each member of our team brings a depth of lived experience—military service, pastoral care, counseling, retreat leadership, and decades of hands-on ministry—creating a holistic approach to healing that honors both faith and service.

United by a shared calling, the Exodus Mission team understands the invisible burdens carried by Veterans and the ripple effects those wounds can have on families. Our facilitators, pastors, and mentors do not offer surface-level solutions; they create safe, structured environments where stories are heard, trust is rebuilt, and hope is restored.

Together, we serve with humility, integrity, and compassion—believing that no Veteran or Military Family should walk their journey alone.

Exodus Mission Retreats - EM PDenise

“At Exodus Mission, healing begins when veterans encounter God’s restoring presence in a trusted, compassionate community.”

Pastor Denise Boggs
Founder/President/Chairman of the Board

I am honored to serve as President of Exodus Mission and Chairman of the Board, and as the founder of both Living Waters Ministry and Exodus Mission. My calling has always been rooted in helping people experience Christ-centered healing, restoration, and renewed identity, especially those carrying deep emotional and spiritual wounds.

Through Living Waters Ministry, I have spent many years walking with individuals through intentional healing journeys focused on forgiveness, repentance, freedom, and identity in Christ. Over time, God placed a specific burden on my heart for veterans and their families—men and women who have given so much in service, yet often carry unseen wounds long after their service ends. That calling led to the founding of Exodus Mission.

Exodus Mission retreats are designed to provide a safe, structured, and faith-centered environment where veterans can slow down, be heard, and encounter God’s healing presence within trusted community. My role is to ensure that every retreat reflects compassion, emotional safety, biblical integrity, and genuine care.

My heart is simple: to see lives restored, families strengthened, and veterans rediscover hope, purpose, and freedom through the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

"By combining brain-based understanding of trauma with faith-centered community, veterans can heal, grow, and reclaim their sense of purpose."

Dr. Marc Garcia
Vide President/Board Member

I am honored to serve as Vice President, Board Member, and Retreat Facilitator and part of The Exodus Mission Team. I am a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and I understand firsthand the weight of service, transition, and the unseen wounds many veterans carry long after the uniform comes off.

I hold a Doctorate in Biblical Studies and am a Certified Neuroscience Life Coach, a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach, and trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). My work centers on helping people understand how trauma affects the brain, emotions, relationships, and leadership—and how healing can begin when faith, neuroscience, and safe community come together.

I am the founder of Methodical Leadership, where I work with leaders and organizations to build emotionally healthy cultures rooted in empathy, accountability, and purpose. I am also a published author, writing on leadership, integrity, faith, and restoration.

In addition to ministry and leadership coaching, I am a licensed foster parent and have spent years walking with veterans, families, and first responders through seasons of healing and renewal. At Exodus Mission retreats, my heart is simple: to help veterans find clarity, healing, restored identity, and renewed purpose in a Christ-centered, supportive environment.

Exodus Mission Retreats - Lee

“When hearts are met with truth, compassion, and the presence of God, restoration and freedom can take root.”

Pastor William “Lee” Boggs
Co-Founder/Vice Chairman of the Board (protem)

I am honored to serve as a founder and senior leader of Living Waters Ministry and Exodus Mission. For more than three decades, my calling has been centered on walking with people through spiritual renewal, emotional healing, and restored identity in Christ.

I hold a degree in Psychology with a minor in Biblical Studies, and my ministry journey has included serving as a youth pastor, retreat pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor. Early on, God placed a strong burden on my heart for retreat-based ministry—spaces where individuals could step away from daily pressures, slow down, and allow God to address deeper wounds of the heart.

Alongside my wife, Denise, I co-founded Living Waters Ministry to provide biblically grounded, intentional healing journeys focused on repentance, forgiveness, emotional safety, and freedom in Christ. That same heart led to the founding of Exodus Mission, where we now serve veterans and their families through Christ-centered retreats designed to foster trust, restoration, and renewed purpose as part of the Exodus Mission Team.

My passion is simple: to create safe, faith-filled environments where people can encounter God, experience healing, and walk forward in freedom and wholeness.

“As a fellow veteran, I understand the battles we carry—and I believe no one should have to fight them alone.”

Pastor Thomas Malone
Board Member/Retreat Facilitator

I am honored to serve as a Board Member and Retreat Facilitator with Exodus Mission. I am a U.S. Army veteran, having served ten years, including deployment during the first Gulf War. Like many who attend our retreats, I understand the weight of service, transition, and the unseen battles that often follow military life.

For more than thirty years, I have served in ministry as a Care Pastor, Elder, and Ordained Pastor, walking with individuals, couples, and leaders through seasons of healing, restoration, and growth. Alongside my wife of over three decades, Wyletta, I have been deeply involved in marriage enrichment, discipleship, leadership development, and inner-healing ministries.

I am a certified facilitator with Healing the Heart–aligned ministries and have spent many years guiding people through Christ-centered processes of forgiveness, identity restoration, and spiritual renewal. In addition to ministry, I have worked in healthcare for over thirty years, which has further shaped my heart for compassionate, attentive care.

My passion as part of the Exodus Mission Team is helping veterans find healing, clarity, and renewed purpose in a safe, faith-centered community.
